Lombok

Lombok is an island in the Sunda Kecil archipelago or Nusa Tenggara are separated by the Lombok Strait from Bali to the west and Leat Alas east of Sumbawa. The island has a population of 3,166,685 inhabitants (2010 census) with a density of 670 / km2 has incredible natural beauty. Geography

Lombok Strait marks the boundary of the flora and fauna of Asia. Lombok is known as an attraction for foreign tourists in the 1990s, but the economic crisis in 1997 made ​​the island's tourism potential is neglected. This condition is exacerbated by the occurrence of inter-ethnic violence and religion in 2000 in the whole of Lombok, causing a massive displacement of minorities.
